Wintry travel in Boston into Wednesday Snow of varying intensity into Wednesday will create slippery travel. Road conditions will range from wet to slushy and snow covered with the most likely time for slippery conditions from later Tuesday night to Wednesday. A coating to an inch is forecast for the Boston metro area, mainly on non-paved surfaces, with the greater amounts of 1-3 inches north and west of 495. Another winter storm from Friday night to Saturday is likely to bring another round of accumulating snow and slippery travel. Moderate to heavy amounts of snow with the late-week storm are likely to be in southwestern New England and southern New York.
