Warmth Breaks Records in NW
As Carl pointed out,* it has rained in Seattle for the last 21 days. Of course, people say it always rains in Seattle, but that's not entirely true, in fact it's never rained for more than a month straight there.
What it's also doing in Washington State is being quite warm. So much so that you could say it's never been warmer on the same date in history. Check out these records set recently:
Janyary 6, 2006: Pullman, WA falls to a mere 42 degrees, breaking their old warmest-minimum temperature of 36 set in 1984. Over the border in Mullan Pass, Idaho, they beat their all time warm overnight reading by 1 degree -- it hadn't been that warm overnight since 1954. On January 7, the low temperature at Omak, WA tied the record.
Wet and relatively warm weather will be the rule in the Pacific Northwest through Friday.
But I'm no Western weather expert. For continued updates on Western Weather, follow Ken Clark (PREMIUM | PRO) and Paul "Hate The Bloggies" Yeager (PREMIUM | PRO) on the Accu-Blogosphere.
*Keeping up with Carl as we approach Bloggies Eve has proved quite brutal. But I'm training with Joe Bastardi and my pecks are looking great... only I'm not sure where my pecks are.
