V-Storm: Will it Make Up Deficit?
Below is a map showing the seasonal snowfall deficit for major cities in the Northeast.
Some locations are even worse -- here in State College, PA we've officially received 6.5" of snow, but at my house, where we've missed some of the heavier bands, I'm standing at 3 to 4 inches so far this winter. Our average is 47 inches so this puts us at a deficit of at least 40 inches. There's no way we'll make that up with the Valentine's Day storm, but we might make a significant dent in it.
Elsewhere, most of the snow deficits shown above will probably be wiped out, except Albany and Boston, which might gain back half of their deficits.
