Tornado Outbreak Wrapup, Photos
The early-season tornado outbreak is over, after causing 31 tornado reports across 5 states. CNN says that at least 20 people have lost their lives in this tragic storm. Later today I'll do a video examining photos and radar images from the outbreak.

Meteorologists are unsure what exactly causes tornadoes but a low-level jet stream moving in a different direction than surface winds creates shear, or twisting of the winds, which eventually becomes vertical, producing a tornado.
