The Perfect Storm II?
Could Hurricane Wilma and Tropical Storm Alpha join together off the East Coast of the United States to form a Superstorm?
AccuWeather.com meteorologist Jim Andrews is talking about that possibility this morning in his weather discussion (link to: free | premium | pro). Jim is a pretty level-headed fellow and is not known for outlandish public predictions.
So, if he's talking about it, then it's really possible. However, he notes at the end of his article, "While this is not the most likely scenario, it is one that is in the realm of possibility." So, if it doesn't happen, it was fun to consider.
After all, it did happen on October 30, 1991.
