The J-CAM Is Mobile! Maybe.
OK folks, as explained yesterday, I'm on my way to North Carolina today and I have the J-Cam pointed out the front window of the car. I'm not sure if this will even work,* but you're welcome to check it out. I'll update the Caption when I enter a new state; any comments that I have time to write will be below.
-- State College, PA: 9 AM And I'm outta here
-- 10:49 AM, Bedford, PA: It's a beautiful morning in southern Pennsylvania and I'm heading on the Turnpike to meet I-81 in Virginia. The Mobile J-Cam seems to be working surprisingly well.
-- 11:23 AM, Breezewood, PA: I'm off the turnpike and on I-70, bound for I-81 in Northern Virginia. It's 53 degrees. There aren't any leaves on the trees yet but the grass is blindingly green.
--12:43 PM, WInchester, VA (I-81): Time for some lunch at Arby's. 54 degrees with occasional showers.
-- 3:45 PM, Arcadia, VA (I-81): Just stopped to refuel here in beautiful mountain-view Arcadia, Virginia. A cool 52 and cloudy.
-- 4:48 PM, Rest Area, Near I-77 in VA: Cold and rainy? 46 degrees? I could have had this in PA! Oh well, tomorrow should be nice. Looking forward to seeing The Old North State soon!
--7:10 PM, Boomer, NC: I have arrived! It's still cold and rainy! You can see the entire day's worth of images by clicking on the J-Cam at left, or going directly to the archive page. I meant to put this online this morning. More information tomorrow on how (and where) the wireless mobile J-CAM worked.

I'll be driving from State College, Pennsylvania to Boomer, North Carolina today.
*I've experimented with mobile webcams before and they are difficult due to cellular reception, cam placement and computer maintenance.
