Subtropical Storm Flooding in Worst Possible Place
I'm in an all-day meeting today but I wanted to post some maps about the potential for flooding in coastal New England today. Outside of that, we're doing a good job covering the Subtropical (our name) storm off the East Coast today in this news article (see the front page of AccuWeather.com for updates). The key problem with the rainfall potential...
...is that it will come to an area where streams and rivers are already at 75-100% of daily highs (USGS)...
In other words, the heavy rain couldn't come to a worse place. Expect to see flooding video from this on TV & Internet tonight & tomorrow morning as the heavy rain falls.
