Shocking Incoming Arctic Blast
This week will bring the first cold blast of the Fall season, and it will be no joke for the eastern two-thirds of the nation. Residents outside during the latter part of the week will likely be shocked by the plunging temperatures. But when will it hit and how cold will it get? I have added a few choice cities to the map below, showing the warmest daily hi/lo early in the week, versus the coldest hi/lo after the front passes.
NOTE: TEMPERATURE FORECASTS ARE NOT FORECAST BY ME; THEY ARE FROM AccuWeather.com
You can see that here in State College, PA, we'll start out with lows in the 50s and highs in the 70s early in the week, but Friday will be brutal with lows in the 30s and highs only in the 40s.

My Mom, who lives in Boomer, North Carolina, will say goodbye to highs in the 80s and will be lucky to get out of the 50s by the end of the week. The front will affect areas as far south as southern Texas and central Florida by this weekend.
