Pennsylvania Flooding Caused by NorKaren
UPDATE 10/12/2013: Continuing flooding closed roads and inundated houses in the Harrisburg area Friday afternoon and evening. Route 322 through Harrisburg was closed due to an accident (probably hydroplaning) for hours and most other roads in the area were traffic jams. It took my wife 5 hours to get from State College to York.
Above is a final map of the precipitation, which was further west than most meteorologists forecast (Capital Weather Gang has an excellent article on why). Five different locations got over 10 inches; the maximum was 12.70" at Goldsboro in York County. The Yellowbreeches Creek in Camp Hill, PA rose 9 feet to 11.4.
