Carl explains to us tonight what a Blue Norther is... it's not a song, a chemical company, or a poodle... it's actually a meteorological tern -- I mean term. A meteorological tern is a weather predicting bird -- see one below in his native environment (note he's measuring the 15m wind atop a pole).

Speaking of poles, Carl also put up a new poll, tonight asking what people dream about. This was because he had posted an earlier entry regarding dreaming about forgetting his locker combination.
I said that I've never dreamed that one (though my wife does) but my non-weather frustration dreams are typically about having forgotten a class all year, and it's now the end of the semester. So, that ended up being one of the choices.
Sorry, I was in a 9-hour meeting today at AccuWeather so I'm a little fried.
