O.T.: Huskies, Shibas, Cats, Oh My
Carl was absolutely right in his post today RE: discussing new pets with the kids around.
So I guess I wasn't kidding when I put Carl's head on Paul Walker's body for an "Eight Below" spoof last week. He really DOES love those Huskies!
RANDOM PHOTOS OF MY PETS:
So Carl, have you seen the movie yet? My wife, who also has wanted to get a Siberian Husky, dragged me out to see it over the weekend. It was pretty good, as dog stories go. It was a tear-jerker, and I expected my wife to promptly go out and buy a Husky. Fortunately for me, our new house has a limit on the number of pets and won't allow outside dogs. So, she is now considering a Shiba Inu, which looks like a miniature Husky (John here in the Internet Department has one).
But I'm a cat person. (The only dog I really would want to have is a Bull Terrier -- you remember, Spuds MacKenzie, how is that dog not fun?). Ever since I was 10, I have had 1 or more cats. We currently have two cats and a rabbit.
Fun weekend kid-parent project: Make funny CafePress merchandise out of your pets. My daughter and I made the buttons / magnets shown below recently, by using photos that we had taken of Petie the Cat and Midnight the Rabbit.
