Mac HOBO Weather Station
MacWorld points out that . has released a series of Mac-compatible electronic weather stations. At $1,149 for a basic wired station without software (+$95) or a tripod kit (+$155), the price seems a bit high for a wired station. In an age where Davis sells their popular VantagePro2wireless station for about $750, even with their expensive WeatherLink software, which by the way, comes for Mac).
The only advantage to these stations that I can see is that they do measure Photosynthetically Active Radiation, which I've never seen before, nor do I know what is.
Maybe I'm wrong, if you own one of these Hobo stations, or get one, let me know what you think.
