Lots O Lightning Over Atlantic
I have been impressed by the amount of lightning over the Atlantic as this week's storm moved out to sea.
It's got two ingredients going for it though -- an upper-level low pressure system causing instability (not unlike the recent Kansas tornadoes), and warm ocean temperatures.
The ocean temperatures are still in the 70s F out there.
