You try to harness weather's power and what do you get? Mother Nature strikes your wind turbine with lightning. This article details the tragedy, which happened in Vermont last Friday:

Well, that's kind of scary.

User rjapp over on our Photo Gallery, takes pictures of majestic wind turbines all across North America. Here are some samples:

SIX DEGREES OF WEATHER SEPARATION (huh?):

1. The lightning that struck this turbine must have happened almost at the same time (definitely from the same storm system) as when our own Brian Clark saw lightning strike on Mount Washington Friday.

2. I was searching on the Net for a new digital camera on Friday night and came across these photos of turbines (which were sample photos from the model of camera I was looking for).
