J-SHOW: Fall 2007 TV: K-Ville, Reaper
That's right folks, it's that time of year again! Tonight's J-Show is all about the Fall 2007 Television schedule, when J and his family slip away from reality each evening to join Hollywood stars as they thrill us with tales that aren't like our real lives. So without further ado here's what I'll be watching this season (with special attention to K-Ville, a weather-related show).

*Be sure to check out AOL's Fall TV articles, they have some excellent thoughts, especially regarding shows that we have to wait until Winter 2008 for, which I didn't mention in the video, including greats like "24," "Lost," and "Medium," but they appear to have mislabled "Heroes" which NBC says is starting this fall. "New Amsterdam" keeps switching back between Spring and Fall; it's anyone's guess.
**I gave made props to Laurel last year but I can't say the same this year, as her site was offline until after I had to produce my spreadsheet. Instead I was forced to use About.com Comedies.
Here's a shot of my official Spreadsheet-O-Shows for this fall. Let me know what you're watching by emailing me at community @ accuweather.com.

Last year this time when I showed the spreadsheet, I was anticipating a similar number of new dramas (about half of which were cancelled before year's end) and comedies (most of which were cancelled). Let's hope this year is better.
Since I have a couple connections to New Orleans,*** a few words on K-Ville (FOX). As I said in the video blog, after researching this show and finding out that the New Orleans Police Department condoned it and it will bring revenue to the area, I did feel a little more comfortable with its premise. The truth is, with half the population and doctors gone, they need what they can get.
The show stars Cole Hauser and Anthony Anderson. The idea, of course, is that it's a cop show set in New Orleans, post-Hurricane-Katrina. The show's title came from actual graffiti spotted by writer-producer Johnathan Lisco during a ride-along with the NOPD (a fact referenced in this article by the Times-Picayune and added to the WikiPedia entry by yours truly. Remember, you can watch the entire Pilot episode before the premiere on 9/17 by visiting WindowsMedia.com. Fox.com was also kind enough to provide a widget with behind-the-scenes footage that I could publish on this blog:
Next up, and I'm really looking forward to this... Reaper on CW. This stars Bret Harrison, who we loved in "Grounded for Life" and "The Loop," along with Tyler Labine from "Invasion" and Ray Wise, the crazy Dad from "Twin Peaks," one of my favorite all-time shows. CW was also kind enough to supply this widget about the show:

***My connections to New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina include my blog, which was started during Hurricane Katrina, and my work with Habitat for Humanity when I was in college, to help rebuild houses damaged by Hurricane Andrew in 1992. If I'm not mistaken, my cousin was also born there.
