HIGH RISK: Violent Storms Thursday
AccuWeather.com and the government's Storm Prediction Center are forecasting another round of violent weather in similar areas to last week's outbreak.
The government's Storm Prediction Center has issued a rare HIGH RISK FOR SEVERE STORMS over eastern Kansas and southeastern Nebraska. In the average year, only half a dozen high risks are issued.

COMPARISON TO SUNDAY:
Below I have overlaid Sunday night's storm reports onto the SPC Moderate Risk areas for today and tomorrow. Notice that, while some areas such as western Tennessee could be in for another round of violent weather, other areas such as the Midwest are outside of the Moderate Risk. However, this entire area is surrounded by a Slight Risk, which can produce deadly and strong storms. Some regions that did not experience severe weather last weekend, such as the Plains and Deep South, could be in trouble today and tomorrow as they are now in the Moderate Risk area.
