Heck of a Squall Line Last Night!
UPDATE: As I wrote this, we gusted to 52 mph here at AccuWeather HQ - our highest wind in 2010. Henry has 3-D radar shots of a possible tornado near Baltimore.

Were you awakened last night by the wind? I sure did. The wind was shaking the wall (and hence my bed!) My house doesn't do well when westerly winds hit it (the vinyl siding flaps, the walls make a cracking sound, and my toilet sloshes). Here's a radar loop:

Although it was windy across much of the Northeast quadrant of the country last night, that severe squall line of storms provided most of the highest gusts (up to 68 mph in Orange County, NY):
Wind damage reports were widespread, all told nearly 100 reports were filed with the SPC. The winds overturned planes at an airport in Trenton, New Jersey.
