DGEX and GFS Weekend Snowstorm HYPE
As I said over on the Forums, on AccuWeather.com Professional, we have model snowfall maps... though obviously I can't post them every run (or I'd be giving too much away). But here are the latest maps from the DGEX and GFS Forecast Models [JessePedia]:
Interestingly enough, they aren't that much different (although the GFS is typically further south and coastward, and the DGEX is able to pick up on extreme amounts in the mountains of New England).
A reminder on the GFS Accumulated Snowcover - This is a little weird because it assumes a 10:1 ratio and because it's snow cover, not snow fall, though anything in the U.S. outside of extreme New England is pretty much snow fall at this point. I also tried to pick the hour with the maximum coverage south (because after that the snow cover melts).
