Coastal Damage Reports Flooding In...

The coastal storm continues to pound North Carolina and Virginia... power outages have more than tripled in the last few hours to total over 145,000 customers without power in Dominion's territory (mainly Virginia) - their outage map shows heavy outages from Norfolk through Richmond. Waves have reached over 24 feet offshore with winds gusting over 70 mph at the CBBT. Storm surges are running over 5 feet at several locations.

A pier has collapsed in Virginia Beach and cable outlets are reporting that at least one home has fallen into the ocean at Nags Head, North Carolina, where Highway 12 has been closed due to overwash. It's only going to get worse overnight and I'll be back with you early in the morning. Here are some photos that we've received from New Jersey today:
