Chart: Over 100 Record Highs in 2007

We talked yesterday about some of the warm readings this weekend, and how they will be record breaking for Saturday but not unprecedented overall. I wanted to add that there have already been over 100 record high reports from the NWS [JessePedia] this week. The following chart was produced using data from the WeatherMatrix Records page:

Here's a graphic showing selected record highs that will be threatened this weekend.

I'm not sure how long I'll be able to call this "unprecedented" (I gave my reasons yesterday). Today the Washington Times says:
