Ben Franklins 300th Marked by Lecture
Ben Franklin's 300th birthday will be marked by a special lecture at the University of Arizona.
Noted lightning and thunderstorm expert E. Philip Krider, professor of atmospheric science at the University of Arizona, will talk about Franklin's contributions to the understanding of lightning. Franklin's design of lightning rods is essentially what is still used and recommended today, according to Krider, who will discuss Franklin's scientific achievements.
And of course, there's always the key story.
The weird thing is... he was born on January 17th, so this lecture is about 1 month too late.
