Scattered showers and storms are likely again today, especially in the afternoon. It will be warm, with high temperatures in the mid to upper 80's. Tonight, skies will be partly to mostly cloudy and low temperatures will be near 70 degrees. Any showers and storms that do linger will dissipate overnight.

GOES-East failed again late Tuesday. It is one of the main satellites meteorologists use for the eastern part of the United States and the tropical Atlantic.
Hail and high winds will be the primary concern today as storms fire up in the Northeast.
Strong thunderstorms impacted areas from Texas and Louisiana to New England with large hail and damaging winds.
Dangerous and damaging thunderstorms will push through southern New York Wednesday afternoon, while new storms develop over Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania with hail and wind.
