UK Easter outlook: Where will nice weather prevail or showers dampen plans?

While showers may put a damper on some holiday plans, no windstorms and no flooding rain are projected to aim at the United Kingdom and ruin Easter Sunday.
The strong dome of high pressure that sent chilly air into the U.K. during the weekend is expected to continue to block storms from sweeping in from the Atlantic this week.
Showers from the bypassing storms may occasionally graze the U.K., but the worst of the rain and wind can be held away.
The greatest chance for showers on Easter Sunday will be across Northern Ireland and Scotland; however, most locations will have at least several hours of dry weather.
Anyone with outdoor holiday plans in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen may not need to cancel those festivities but should prepare for the possible need to adjust the timing or venue.
"At this time, it looks like residents can leave wellies home for Easter sunrise services across Wales, southern England and the Midlands," said AccuWeather Meteorologist Tyler Roys.
If the storm slows down, dry weather may prevail throughout all of the U.K. on Easter Sunday with rainfall holding off until Sunday night or Monday in the northwest.
Temperatures will trend upwards beginning on Monday with well above-normal temperatures expected for the holiday weekend throughout the entire country.
Early morning lows and afternoon highs are expected to be above normal during the Easter holiday weekend. Latest indications are that temperatures can climb above 16 C (60 F) across most of the country multiple days from Friday to Monday.
Highs for April 21 typically range from 12-14 C (53-58 F) across the southern U.K. with average early morning lows of 4-7 C (40-45 F).
