Thunderstorms will bring flood risk, travel delays into Thursday in UK

Following daily downpours that caused flooding in parts of the United Kingdom in recent days, a slow-moving storm system will bring the risk for additional showers and thunderstorms across much of the country into Thursday.
Downpours drenched much of Wales and England on Tuesday as the storm moved into southern England. These downpours continued into Tuesday night and Wednesday.
A third day of showers and thunderstorms will dampen much of the U.K. on Thursday. Locations across England and Scotland will all be at highest risk for adverse weather with changeable skies.
Sunny skies can quickly be replaced by dark storm clouds and the risk for downpours and lightning.
Drier weather is expected throughout the U.K. on Friday; however, local showers and even a brief downpour will be possible.
The risk for showers and thunderstorms will increase once again for the weekend.
