Glastonbury Festival 2019: Festivalgoers to contend with muddy fields, building warmth
Due to a very wet month of June across the West Country, the fields of Worthy Farm will almost certainly be muddy for Glastonbury Festival 2019.
Concertgoers may be lucky enough to catch a few breaks from the rain throughout the week.
The Glastonbury area typically receives around 37 mm (1.45 inches) of rain for the month of June. From June 1-20 this year, the region has received around 86 mm (3.38 inches) of rain.

"The fields are probably already a muddy mess," according to AccuWeather Meteorologist Tyler Roys. "Those attending should bring their wellies and extra clothing along with them."
More rain is expected to fall on the area Tuesday, heightening the risk for muddy conditions to start the festival.
While the odd shower or thunderstorm may wet the areas early on Wednesday, a break from the wet weather will be in place for much of the rest of the week.
A shower or thunderstorm may return to the festival on Saturday; however, an all day washout is not expected.
If thunder rumbles, anyone outdoors is advised to move to a safe location immediately.
"Under a tree or in a tent is not a safe location. Seek out a building or, if you have to, your car," Roys said.
The festival will kick off on June 26 with summerlike temperatures.
Temperatures will be unseasonably high to start the festival with highs of 24-27 C (76-80 F) on Wednesday and Thursday.
Nighttime lows could also be uncomfortable, with temperatures hovering in the mid- to upper teens C (mainly in the 60s F).
The warmth will peak on Friday with an expected high temperature of 28 C (83 F). Anyone attending the events will want make sure to drink plenty of water and seek shelter from the sunshine at times.
Temperatures are then expected to trend downward across the Glastonbury area into the weekend.
By the end of the festival, temperatures may be held to the upper teens C (middle to upper 60s F) on Sunday.
Minimum temperatures could be in the single digits to lower teens C (upper 40s to lower 50s F) on Saturday night and Sunday night.
