In Spring 2010, I announced that Sharp was partnering with AccuWeather to bring high-quality weather photos from our viewers to AQUOS high-def televisions as part of their AQUOSNet service. Today, we're looking back with the best of the best, the top 10 I selected out of over 200 weather photos selected for this honor over the two-year period. I love this photo as a desktop pattern, there's something about snow on sand that fascinates me, and this pic was taken in Latvia (of all places). It was originally entitled "Spring is not Far."

This is one of my favorite AQUOS photos, and the high quality really shines on the AQUOS TV screen. "magnumlady" (Val from Sligo, Ireland) has taken many incredible weather-related photos which reside on our Gallery.

This stunning photo of crocus flowers poking up through the snow, was taken in Germany in 2010. It was originally entitled "The Return of Winter" and I've used it as a Spring FAIL meme.

This "universal beach photo" was taken in Antigua and/or Barbuda by a photographer who has other beautiful tropical photos from the area. I used to have a shower curtain with a similar beach scene.

"Frozen1" has taken a lot of great photos (many in the winter, as you might surmise, because he's from Manitoba, Canada), but I featured this photo of a sunflower because of the incredible colors, especially with the storm clouds behind it.

I can't say enough about this next photo; it was taken by my friend and AccuWeather.com Facebook Fan Zach Frailey in Atlantic Beach, NC during a rare beach snowstorm last January; the pastel beach colors against the stark white snow is just unbelievable. I have a copy of this photo on the wall in my dining room.

While we're in the Southeast U.S., there were a lot of lightning photos in the AQUOS collection, but I believe this one, taken in June 2009 in Sarasota, takes the cake. This picture makes me want to move to Florida right now.

This fall panorama is one of my own. It was the first photo to be displayed on AQUOS, and was used for testing purposes (see below). I hate to include it in the top 10 because it's my own, but by golly it's one of the best photos I've ever taken. It looks like New England, but this location is actually just down the road from my house here in State College, PA. The building is a private school and the tree was injured by road work in 2009, so I'll never get this shot again.

I retitled this wonderful photo from AccuWeather.com Facebook Fan and Photographer Chris Monroe in New Jersey: "Grave Situation." It is a powerful photo, taken during a powerful blizzard in February 2011.

This is one of the older photos on our Photo Gallery, but is a classic. It was taken in December 2007 in Indiana during the massive Ice Storm there.

It was really hard to pick the top 10 and honestly every one of the others deserves an honorable mention. These are literally the best weather photos that our fans have snapped. Be sure to check out the whole set for more amazing, powerful views of the weather.
