An Active Weather Day at the Beach!
It's been an interesting weather day here at the beach in Oak Island, N.C. This afternoon, a storm formed on a sea-breeze front inland, and moved west of my location, casting a large shadow (2:30 p.m. satellite) that turned it "cloudy" here.

As the anvil of the thunderstorm blew off to the southeast, I snapped a panoramic photo of it from the beach -- this is the same cloud you can see on the 2:46 p.m. satellite image (to my west).

While looking at the map for the storm, I saw that our maybe-tropical storm is finally taking shape offshore -- you can see in this map the counter-clockwise circulation around a center of low pressure:
