Where did November 2022 rank for global temperature?
According to NOAA, November 2022 was the ninth warmest November on record for global land/ocean surface combined temperature. Last month averaged 0.76 deg. C (1.37 deg. F) above the 20th century average. However, last month was also the coolest November since 2014, which tells you how warm the past 10 years have been.

This was the 46th consecutive November and the 455th consecutive month where the global average surface temperature was above the 20th century average.

On the flip side, the contiguous United States was slightly cooler than normal for November, averaging 0.7 deg. F below normal.
So far this year, the January through November period averaged 0.86 deg. C (1.55 deg. F) above the 20th century average, making it the sixth such warmest such period on record. Based on this, it is highly likely that 2022 will end up ranking somewhere between the sixth and eighth warmest year on record, which is significant in that we are under the influence of a La Niña for the third consecutive time. La Nina's typically have a slight cooling influence on the world's average temperature.

Northern Hemisphere fall and Southern Hemisphere spring 2022
The Northern Hemisphere's fall of 2022, which is the period from September to November, was the fifth warmest on record, according to NOAA.
In the Southern Hemisphere, the spring of 2022 was the 12th warmest on record. Records go back to 1880.
