Did Global Warming really Stop in 1998?
The misleading statement that global warming stopped in 1998 continues to be thrown around even though the last decade was the warmest on record globally.
Highly regarded Penn State geoscientist and climate expert Dr. Richard Alley, who is the host of Earth: The Operators' Manual, recently posted an entertaining and accurate video about this very subject and why that statement is incorrect.
The video, which is part of the 'How to talk to an Ostrich' video series from Earth: The Operators' Manual shows the difference between short-term trends and long-term direction.
