Snowstorm for New Brunswick Sunday
A rapidly intensifying storm just off New England will track up toward Nova Scotia later Sunday. As cold air gets drawn into the north and western side of the storm there will be a band of heavy snow that spreads from interior Maine up into central and northern New Brunswick later Saturday night through Sunday.
Computer models are still at odds with the exact track of this two-part storm, but regardless we favor the heaviest snow (over 15 cm) band to extend from east-central Maine to just north of Fredericton, NB then up toward the Bathurst.
In the St. John's area I expect rain Saturday into Sunday afternoon then a change to wet snow by Sunday aft/evening with a small accumulation possible before it ends Sunday night.
Moncton, NB will be mostly rain with some strong winds. The rain will likely change to wet snow Sunday evening with a slushy accumulation possible before winding down later Sunday night.
Fredericton, NB will start out as light rain Saturday afternoon then change over to snow Saturday night with the heaviest snow coming Sunday afternoon and evening with strong winds and poor visibility. There is the potential for 15 cm in the area with higher amounts just to the north.
The Bathurst area will see a period of snow Saturday night then a lull Sunday morning followed by a second, heavier period of snow Sunday afternoon through the evening with the potential for over 15 cm.

Weekly long range forecast model interpretation indicates the the Arctic air retreats to the far north during most of November.
