Long-range pattern clues into April
By Brett Anderson, AccuWeather senior meteorologist
Published Mar 17, 2020 1:01 PM EST
Signals are strong that rain and snow will be well below normal across the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia into the start of April as the main storm track comes in across California and delivers more rain to the southwestern United States.
Most of the cold air will likely hang out across western Canada the rest of this month, while temperatures average above normal for most of the east.
We still expect to see an early greening of trees, bushes and grass across the northeastern U.S. and eastern Canada as we get into April.
I, like many others at AccuWeather, will be working from home until further notice as we try to keep our distance from others during this difficult time for the world. Wishing everyone health and happiness.
