Showers move through the Northeast today, then mostly dry for rest of the week
Moisture from the Gulf and Southwest states is flowing into the Northeast today ahead of a cold front that will move off the East Coast late tonight. Additional cold fronts are likely to arrive Wednesday and again around Saturday. There may be rain showers, and perhaps even snow showers, downwind from the Great Lakes with these fronts, but there may be no precipitation as those fronts cross the Interstate-95 corridor. The following map shows the surface pattern as of 8 a.m. today.
