A rapidly strengthening nor’easter will bring heavy snow from Sunday night through Monday evening. As the snow spreads, roads will become snow-covered and travel will be dangerous. Blizzard conditions and regional to widespread power outages are anticipated on Monday in eastern Massachusetts with wind gusts of 50 to 70 mph expected. A zone of 12-18 inches of snow is expected across eastern Massachusetts, with higher amounts across Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket and less to the northwest of Boston.
