The Air Quality Index (AQI) is expected to reach the Orange or Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups category. * WHERE...West central and northwest Minnesota. * WHEN...Until 11 PM CDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Sensitive groups, such as people with lung disease (including asthma), heart disease, and children and older adults, may experience health effects. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A pocket of heavy surface wildfire smoke will continue to transport southwest across northwest and west central Minnesota through the evening, prior to moving out of the state and/or dispersing below alert criteria. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Sensitive groups, such as people with lung disease (including asthma), heart disease, and children and older adults, should limit prolonged or heavy exertion.
