River levels remain high. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers. Areas most at risk include the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare Road. Overtopping is forecast from the Glastonbury Millstream and the River Brue at North Drain and Westhay. The River Brue is forecast to be bankfull upstream of Bruton Dam with field flooding likely. The weather situation has improved but water continues to make its way down through the catchment so river levels will remain high. Largely dry conditions are forecast through the weekend. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and have been checking rivers for blockages. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
