High river levels continue to pose a flood risk. Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Willington, Barrow upon Trent, Swarkestone, Bargate Lane and the access roads to Willington Meadows, the Twyford Village access road, Church Lane at Barrow, and Ingleby Lane. No further rainfall is forecast. River levels at Willington Cableway and Shardlow gauges will remain high until Wednesday on 19/11/2025. We are closely monitoring the situation & monitoring river levels and rainfall. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses & plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
