...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CHST TUESDAY... * WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 9 feet. * WHERE...North facing reefs of Pohnpei and Kosrae. * WHEN...Until 3 PM ChST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A long-period northerly swell is interacting with the northeast swell to support hazardous surf of 9 feet along north facing reefs of Pohnpei and Kosrae. Depending how long the north swell lingers the advisory may be extended past Tuesday afternoon. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. &&
