Your Tornado Outbreak Headquarters, Right Here!
10:00 PM CENTRAL: In the video blog below again we look at the storms with Google Earth in 3-D mode, concentrating on the bow echo with strong winds east of Little Rock, Arkansas, very impressive on the Base Velocity radar product (not Storm-Relative velocity, which is better for detecting tornadic circulations).

9:20 PM CENTRAL: I uploaded some additional screenshots from AccuWeather.com RadarPlus showing four Tornadic Vortex Signatures at the same time on the Fort Smith, Arkansas radar. Here is raw video (NO AUDIO) out of Breckenridge, Texas showing damage from the earlier tornadoes, courtesy KTVT, who has additional photos and an article that says 15 people were injured.

VIDEO CAPTION: Aerial video shows suspected tornado damage at the Breckenridge Airport
southwest of Breckenridge, Texas. Metal buildings were ripped apart, some buildings were completely destroyed
and small planes were tossed about. Officials at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Breckenridge, Texas said some
people were brought in for treatment but their injuries and conditions are unknown.
8:20 PM CENTRAL: There's a nasty supercell thunderstorm northwest of Dallas, Texas, that's been dropping tornado reports behind it... softball-sized hail as well, according to the latest warning. I'm going to upload screencaptures and movies here from the tools I used in the video blog below.

NEW! For Google Earth.

OK folks, strap yourselves in and get ready for a large tornado outbreak, perhaps the largest in the history of my blog. Send me some pictures but stay safe out there. Here's what you can expect to see here. First, I'll keep a current risk map and radar loop going below, and you can also monitor the StormMatrix Stats box. I'll also be doing 3-D Radar Video Blogs starting tonight.
The SPC says in their latest discussion that the bottom line is: Severe storms with strong tornadoes will develop late this afternoon and this evening from west-central Texas through Southern Oklahoma tonight, then this area will expand across the Ozarks into this Mississippi and lower Tennessee valleys Thursday.
But lest our memories be too short, here are the recent outbreaks that we are looking to beat, as far as storm reports (these include outbreaks with over 500 reports and over 75 tornado reports between 2006-2008, please email me if you remember more):
February 4-6, 2008:
October 17-18, 2007:
April 6-8, 2006:
April 1-3, 2006:
March 11-13, 2006:
