Xmas Lights, Snow, Husky Photos
'Tis the season to say: I mean no disrespect this season to my abbreviation of Christmas as X-mas [WikiPedia]. It is a widely-used abbreviation. I mean no disrespect, but our blog headlines are limited to a certain number of characters.
I promised you last week I'd show you a photo of my Christmas lights at My New House [JessePedia], I know. The thing is, it took multiple days to get everything assembled, then late decorations arrived and a wind storm rearranged everything. But here is a photo taken a couple of nights ago. Let's hope they don't get stolen this year.
Yesterday was the first time this season that we saw significant snow here in State College in Central Pennsylvania. It presented a nice Christmas spirit. You could see the flakes falling on my driveway cam at home:
And I even temporarily repositioned (OK, tipped) the J-Cam here at work to catch the falling flakes outside my office window. I'll try to setup a better cam there so you can see what is happening outside, though you can kind of tell from the AccuCam, which caught a few good flakes.
Today I'm telecommuting so that I can take my cat Star to the vet for a checkup, and so I can dutifully sign some UPS presents which cannot be received without signature.
My New Dog [JessePedia] was interested in the flakes, but disappointed in the lack of accumulation on the porch. This is the first snow that the Siberian Husky has seen.
NOT ENOUGH SNOW, DADDY
Here are a couple photos that I took yesterday of the light snow (and some mailbox decorations that you couldn't see in the photo above).
