World White Christmas Forecast Update
Monday was the first day this year that any Forecast Model [JessePedia] reached out to Christmas Day, giving us an idea of who might have a White Christmas.
SEE ALSO:
Here's what the GFS model is predicting for snow cover on Christmas morning as of last night (00Z Thursday 12/14). This will change, of course, as we move towards the 25th and I'll update you at least once a week, or you can get the images live on the Pro site (30-day Free Trial!).
The amounts are a little low due to a bug in the model but the coverage should be reasonable (actually probably liberal considering we're looking at a tenth of an inch of snow versus the standard snow cover of 1 inch).
BIG CHANGES! Note that a big change has occurred since last update and the GFS is predicting a White Christmas across temperate areas such as Texas, the Midwest, mid-Atlantic and Northeastern U.S., as well as parts of central Europe.
