The boss has me working hard today folks (not on the snowstorm next week, but on long-term website planning) so just a quick hype update from the morning model runs...

The DGEX is saying that a few inches of snow will fall from the Plains through PA and northern New England late this weekend and early next week...

With snow to rain in southern New England, and freezing rain or sleet as far south as the Carolina border...

The GFS is painting, believe it or not, is painting a strikingly similar solution, with the storm beginning in the Plains late Saturday and exiting the New England coast next Tuesday. Could a two-model agreement this early indicate a solid forecast for one week out? Only time will tell.
