WI, MN Blizzard, NE Snore Map
I usually don't post our accumulation maps because they are handled well through our Weather Headlines and Breaking News Page, but I thought this was an attractive and informative map that we've released this morning:
In other words, look out for heavy snow in Minnesota and Wisconsin; snow lovers in the East will be disappointed again (except for northern Vermont, New Hampshire and the state of Maine).
As for the Forecast Models [JessePedia], the morning runs of the NMM and GFS both seem on board with this solution. Here's the precipitation type maps for Friday morning:
The GFS is more interested than the NMM in seeing some light snow behind the front in Pennsylvania as you can see. It is also wider and father south with light snow behind the system (as it usually is).
