Whiteout: 50-Car Pileup in PA

A whiteout during a heavy snow squall likely caused yesterday's 50-car pileup which killed one person on I-90 near Erie, Pennsylania. You can read Google News articles about it here.This site has a tiny photo and Fox News says that the accident occurred around 12:45 p.m. (they also have a photo). Here is a radar image from just before the time of the accident:

Clients in this area were sent a special warning yesterday morning talking about the possibility of whiteouts. That was done from right here in Wichita, where this office specializes in warning clients such as transportation outfits (trains, trucking companies).
