Where's That Cold Air Again?
AccuWeather.com forecasters think that the cold air is really coming back to the East next week. The AccuWeather.com forecast has been pretty consistent for the last two weeks, in calling for this changeover to take place as February begins.
AccuWeather.com Professional's Joe Bastardi says in his blog today:
IF YOU FEEL JANUARY FELL TO A CURSE, FEBRUARY SHOULD SATISFY YOUR WINTER WEATHER THIRST.
Next week's cold outbreak will be felt everywhere in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Check out some of the AccuWeather.com 15-day forecast temperature graphs (from the AccuWeather.com Planner):
KEY - RED: Forecast High, BLUE: Forecast Low, OTHERS: Normals
(notice it's so late in the winter that normals are going UP now)
Whether it's Boomer, NC (northwest foothills, where I grew up), State College, PA (geographic center of the state, where I'm writing from now), or even Washington D.C. or New York City, the story is the same. Temperatures will be way below normal next week.
For winter fans, it will be a welcome change.
