Western PA Storm Chaser Talk and Movie
UPDATE: I have added a photo and the video is now available below (not great quality). You can also download the PowerPoint that I presented. You can also watch a GPS animation of my trip (it was a late night getting back!) Thanks to all those who attended!
I will be giving a talk on Pennsylvania tornado history, chasing in PA, the 1985 outbreak, and storm chaser safety tomorrow, Saturday June 4th at 7:30 PM at the Strand Theater in Zelienople, PA (north of Pittsburgh). After my talk, you can buy a ticket for a viewing of "Twister" (1996). Part of the proceeds from the theater benefit tornado victims through the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund.
The PowerPoint presentations I will be giving will use parts of the presentations that Henry and I gave on The Great Pennsylvania Tornado of 1985 last Summer, and my blog entries "How to Storm Chase In Your Local Area" and "East Coast Storm Chasing." I hope to see you there! (If you think you should have found out about this sooner, friend me on Facebook). If you can't come, I'll try to videotape it and post the PowerPoint here later this weekend.
I have invited the members of the Pennsylvania Storm Chasers Group and the May 31, 1985 Tornado Outbreak Remembered on Facebook.
