Weekend New England Flooding Hype
A storm off the Southeast coast will merge will conspire to cause heavy rain for coastal New England this weekend. The models are not calling it a big storm, and even Nor'easter might be stretching it, but it has the potential for flooding rain.
The real question will be whether the heaviest rain (and wind) will be mostly on the coast or offshore. AccuWeather.com Professional's Joe Bastardi [BIO] (PRO) says in his blog today "Much of southern New England is going to get over 3 inches of rain with this, with amounts to 6 inches on the southern New England coast and perhaps Long Island."
