Webcams, Buoys To Watch The Storm
NOTE: The links to the webcams below are still good but I have written newer blog entries, please see at right, with updated stats on the storm.
Here are some links to beach webcams that you'll want to watch as the East Coast storm thrashes the coast this week (also check out buoy reports at this NDBC link). Waves have already increased from 1 to 13 feet at a buoy off the NJ coast today.
Webcams (listed south to north):
Wrightsville Beach, NCSurf City, NCRodanthe, NCKitty Hawk, NCKill Devil Hills, NCNags Head, NCHatteras, NCDuck, NCVirginia Beach, VADelaware D.O.T.Ocean City, MD #1Ocean City, MD #2Ocean City, MD #3Ocean City, NJ #1Ocean City, NJ #2Ocean City, NJ #3
Also check out Surfline.com which has surf cams up and down the coast (too many to mention here). The Maryland & Virginia D.O.T.'s have cams too, which could get interesting with flooding but don't offer any beach or bridge views that I could see.
If you have more links, let me know. If you're looking for forecast information about this storm, see
DISCLAIMERS: These cams are not operated by AccuWeather.com and may be go offline due to high web traffic and power outages. Some corporate firewalls may block the camera images.
