VOTE: Block of Ice Crashes in Cali
Thanks to alert blog reader Rick for the tip (not to say that the rest of you are not alert, or are in some catatonic state or anything, but feel free to send me news tips).
If you closely monitor the weather-related news, you'll know you've heard this one before: A huge block of ice crashes to earth for no apparent reason. This happened last night in Oakland, California.
Even the experts are having trouble explaining a solid block of ice that fell from the sky, crashed into earth and left behind a three-foot hole in the grass.
Any aviation experts or pilots of large jets out there? Perhaps you can confirm whether ice blocks of this size are routinely attached to a plane in flight?
WARNING: Photo above not the actual cube of ice. Rather a common "ice cube," (but not rapper Ice Cube, who's favorite football team is, ironically, the Oakland, California Raiders). [source]
