We just had a whopper of a heavy snow band go over parts of State College, Pennsylvania, home of AccuWeather HQ [Google Map] and my house. Below is a video I took around 9:30 PM:

Here's what the radar looked like on AccuWeather.com RadarPlus -- that green stuff is 40dBZ+ snow (40 dBZ on the radar scale usually depicts moderate rain!). Click here to download* a movie. A few choice places in Eastern PA have also seen heavy snow (state winter radar loop).

It was one of the heaviest snows I have seen in a long time -- I measured 1.5 inches in less than an hour at my house (Henry may have gotten more!) At 9:20, the AccuWeather driveway was clear on the The AccuCam... 15 minutes later it was snow covered.

I-99 didn't fare much better... with a similar situation down in Lewistown on 322.
