V-Blog: Photos Of Possible NYC Tornado Damage
UPDATE: The NWS has confirmed an EF-2 Tornado ripped and skipped through New York City, adding: "NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS ALONG WITH NEW YORK CITY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS HAVE CONFIRMED THAT A TORNADO SKIPPED ALONG AN APPROXIMATE 9 MILE LONG PATH FROM STATEN ISLAND TO BROOKLYN EARLY THIS MORNING."

UPDATE: WNBC.com has some impressive video captures of damaged roofs in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Philly.com also has some downed tree photos. WABC a lot of photos, including flooding from the heavy rains, which crippled transportation, and an article on their website says that one person has been killed by the storm in a traffic accident. They also have video of Mayor Bloomberg's press conference on the storm.

A possible tornado hit parts of New York City and western Long Island this morning around 6:30. The video blog below shows radar images and photos from the storm, and uses Google Earth to show the specific locations mentioned in the Tornado Warnings, in an attempt to track the path of the damage.

The warnings that the NWS issued were for "SOUTHERN QUEENS COUNTY, SOUTHWESTERN NASSAU COUNTY, EASTERN KINGS COUNTY" and one for "NORTHEASTERN RICHMOND COUNTY, KINGS COUNTY".
